Though it's very, very snowy right now, so the flash is really obscured and weak. It was snowing last time as well, but not as much, and I got a lot of great pictures back then. So yeah, basically it's just more of the same, only weaker.
It's actually up there as I'm typing this. I was out there for about 40 minutes looking at it from different angles, recording a video and whatnot, but decided that "Naw, I'd rather be in my warm car, surfing".
Can't get an angle, just like last time, because it's only visible within a very small area around the spotlights right now. Woe is me. Woe is the life of a UFO hunter.
Internet in my apartment should be up tomorrow. Brightened the video I shot with my normal camera. In it you can tell that the reflection was indeed accompanied by two dim lights, hanging there, static. Because of the snow, and the compression bugs my camera creates when it shoots video in low lighting, the lights are even more visible if you fast forward the video. I'm gonna try and figure out how to do that in a video editing program so I can upload it to Youtube.
New apartment is OK, not great. Whatever, it's cheaper than a hotel, And I can finally eat some non-restaurant food. I was growing sick of that to be honest.
This blog is about the travels and experiences of a certain UFO interested guy who one day decided to leave his dreary home in Sweden to go UFO hunting in Canada

Internetless
Sorry people, I don't have internet at the moment. Right now I'm leeching internet from just outside my old hotel. I think I have something though. Something big. The answer lies within the pictures I took the last time. Look at them closely and deduct, my pretties, deduct!

The video
Watch on Youtube in HD (720p) for best quality.
No, we didn't manage to get the spotlights to stop, but it was worth a shot. What really was amazing is how fast people lost interest after I told them about the light. They were like "Oh, cool" and 10 seconds later they walked away, carrying on with their lives. It was like watching some kinda genetic self preservation technique in action. "Don't wanna get involved. Walk away.".
As you can tell I was kinda excited. I met up with handeroo later, but he was too late really. By the time he got there the light was already really dim, despite almost similar weather conditions.
Oh, and one really interesting piece of information. I got there a few minutes after 6, looked up, nothing there. Proceeded with parking my car, looked up a few minutes later and went "Holy shit, I gotta text everybody!", 'cause it was as bright as I've ever seen it. Flash was really bright and you could make out two side lights as well. Basically it almost literally appeared out of nowhere. Invisible (non visible) one minute, really bright and visible the next.

Got something good for you today!
It's back, 3rd time, 3 days inbetween. This time it was stronger than I've ever seen it. Some of the "side lights" could even be seen. God damn I nearly froze my hands off working the monster camera trying to get some of these pics, but.. oh yeah, it payed off baby!
What I've got for you are some high speed sequences of the UFO, more or less proving there must be something up there. It really can't be a weather phenomenon at this point. The spotlights, when they hit this thing, they're Really wide, but only a small small light appears from the object. Check these photos out. I took hundreds, and all the RAW data will be made available to you at one point or another.
Here's some select shots that I found interesting. My camera can take several pictures per second, so I've divided them up into interesting sequences. Download the pictures to your computer and switch them back and forth. ("Sekvens" is "Sequence" in Swedish. I put them up on the Swedish forum too)

Here you go, mom
Just some random picture of the waterfall from the American side. Also have a video of the "front" of the falls, but that'll have to wait. Sorry, mom!
My "secret" plan is also coming along just nicely. More on that later though. I'll leave you with an epic score from the game Xenosaga (Alien saga, lol).

The ironic skate shop
I went and saw the guy behind the video I posted yesterday. The guy from Antigravity skate shop (get it? Antigravity? UFO? Hah). Nice guy. Liked the store layout, seemed laid back, with a video game corner in the back and all. God I suck at Modern Warfare 2. I'm more of a Bad Company 2 kinda guy. I rock at that. Why didn't you have that, Antigravity guy?!
Asked him a few questions about the size, location and whatnot. Apparently it was about 5cm across if you hold your arm out and measure it between your index finger and thumb. Pretty big in other words. He wanted in on any future sightings too. Hopefully we'll get a crowd going next time.
Other than that, nothing to report. Except that Johnny Rockets milkshakes are the best I've ever tasted.

Quick tip
I uploaded some of the pictures and posted them on the ATS forum, so if you don't feel like downloading a 300mb file, just head on over there and have a look.

Search for "Here's the pictures". My nick there is "Drexon".

Damn you, clouds!
It's raining, it's foggy and very cloudy, so no UFO today I'm afraid. A kind user over at the Swedish forum Loading.se edited one of the better pictures. This could be done only because it was the original RAW images. This is the result of editing the file DSC_0221.jpeg :
There are only 3 light sources on the picture. Two stars (one blending in with the objects reflection) and one in the bottom left corner. The rest is just static. These pictures were taken with the camera pointing straight up. You can (well, not so much in the edited picture) make out a beam from one of the searchlights (spotlights that move are apparently called searchlights *shrugs*) hitting nothing, then hitting the previously empty spot which creates a reflection, then hitting nothing again. This repeats a couple of times, and as the cloud cover gets thicker the object becomes increasingly harder to spot.
Someone suggested it being a reflection from a satellite, and I'll definitely look into that. In the mean time, here's a longer and unedited video of that first wonderful yet somewhat terrifying UFO sighting which started it all.
Pictures are up!
This is a 300mb file containing the raw images from my monster camera. I took the pictures yesterday and they show a sequence of images where you can clearly see the spotlights/searchlights pass over this empty area (with stars visible), only to get a reflection back from "something".

Apparently, because these are the raw images straight from the camera, you'll be able to play around with the lighting and improve the quality. Though it's nothing I know how to do at the moment.
Tip: You need a program called Winrar (or any other rar extractor) to extract the photo images from the file.
Edit: Redid the math, and while the distance is still an assumption (assuming the phenomenon is directly above the searchlights), the new altitude is a mere 1500 meters. Not too high actually. I just hope we can verify this in the future.
Oh, and I created a new inclinometer. It's a much lighter and more portable version this time around. Picture later today.

Voodoo mathematics
Edit: I got the distance wrong. I was actually at a parking lot a lot closer. I'll redo the math later today. BTW. Some awesome photos from my monster camera about to be uploaded!
For the first time in my life I actually couldn't stop myself from doing some math. Anyway, according to some rough math, the object is at an altitude of 4765m (3 miles, or 15630 feet).
Using the distance (Side b) and the angle (Angle A or B) you get 4765.
This is based on the assumption that the object (or phenomenon or whatever, I'll just call it object from now on) is hovering straight above the spotlights/searchlights and that the angle I got from using my home made clinometer is fairly accurate. I didn't have the equipment necessary to calculate the exact position it was hovering over. Next time, next time.
